Chili Garlic Noodles are the perfect comfort food on a cold day. These noodles aren’t just any chili garlic noodles, but rather loaded with burnt garlic that elevates the flavor of these noodles.

Burnt Garlic Chili Noodles are super easy to make. This dish is literally 7 ingredients and so easy to make. The prep work should take you no more than 15 minutes and the cooking time is less than 10 minutes. Hope you guys try these noodles.

Can I make Chilli Garlic Noodles gluten-free?

Yes! Make sure to use gluten-free soy sauce or tamari. Additionally, I used Ocean’s Halo Gluten-Free Ramen Noodles which are made with wheat, instead, you can use rice noodles or any other gluten-free noodles for this dish.

Where can I find Chili Onion Crunch?

Trader Joe’s! I know Trader Joe’s isn’t available to people outside the United States so instead use an Asian Chili Oil for that yummy chili flavor. It’s pretty much the same thing.

How to make Chili Garlic Noodles recipe step by step?

Prep

1. Heat up a pot of water to boil the noodles. Follow the instructions on the package. I used Ocean’s Halo Ramen Noodles which are clean.
2. Slice 10 cloves of garlic lengthwise.
3. Drain the noodles and rinse with cold water. Reserve a cup of starchy pasta water for later.

Cook Chili Garlic Noodles

1. Heat up a wok on medium heat. Once hot, add oil followed by sliced garlic.
2. Saute the garlic for roughly 2 minutes until you can smell the burnt garlic.
3. Lower heat all the way. Add soy sauce.
4. Add chili vinegar or rice wine vinegar. I used Ching’s Chili Vinegar.
5. Add Trader Joe’s Chili Onion Crunch (or chili oil). Try and add more crunch than oil.
6. Increase heat to medium and stir. This is what you should have.

7. Add ramen noodles. Work quick and toss well.
8. Now add another tbsp of chili onion crunch.
9. Add scallions and 1/4 cup of starchy noodle water. Turn off the stove.
10. Finish with fresh cilantro leaves. Add a pinch of salt.

This looks delicious, can you clarify? Is that a total of 24 oz of noodles for the recipe (3 x 8?) Thanks!

      No. It’s 8 ounces. I used Ocean’s Halo noodles – there are 4 packages in a box, I used 3 of those.

This is such an underrated recipe! It has simple ingredients, easy to make and tastes SO good. Thank you for letting me find a great way to use my TJ’s chili garlic crunch oil!! I used dried wheat ‘lo-mein’ style noodles that you can find at the Asian mart (boiled for 4-5 minutes and then used tongs to put directly into the pan with the sauce.) I followed the recipe as written. It tastes just like the dan dan noodles and/or the chili garlic noodles that you can find at authentic Chinese restaurants. THANK YOU!

Happy Mother’s Day to all you moms who show up s Happy Mother’s Day to all you moms who show up selflessly every single day. Also, a happy mothers day to all of you who want to be moms. ❤️ This is the most challenging role of my life, but the journey is totally worth it. Krish has made me a stronger and happier person. He gives new meaning to my life. And lastly, my kid couldn’t give me one nice picture of us in Hawaii… there’s either someone in the back or he’s making a face or he just wants to get away. He just can’t sit still for a minute… and with that a Happy Mother’s Day to me! 🥰

Sanjiv and I enjoyed a romantic evening at House Without A Key in peace because Krish “thankfully” fell asleep (he was behind us I promise… swipe). It was so nice to converse with my better half over live music + cocktails, delicious food, and the BEST coconut cake (last pic). A memorable meal and evening! ❤️ #mylove

It’s my first time in Hawaii and I’m loving Waikiki… the beach, food, window shopping, and city life. I love being able to walk everywhere. It’s the perfect amount of action and relaxation for me. This is totally my kinda vacation 😎! Krish has been loving all the people-watching… something he doesn’t do much of back home. He’s been flexible and has pretty much adjusted to our schedule. Thank you 🙏🏼 guys for all the food recommendations (Duke’s Hula Pie) and tips on traveling with a toddler. I can’t thank you all enough. ❤️ #myworld
