Tips to make Garlic Mushroom Noodles

    • Prep all the ingredients prior to the cooking process.
    • Work quick.
    • Towards the end, don't cook the noodles too long with the butter. Simply add the butter, toss well, add the scallions, and turn off the stove.

Can I use baby bella mushrooms instead of shiitake mushrooms?

Yes, you may, but the flavor won't be the same. Shiitake mushrooms offer a more woody and earthy flavor compared to baby bella mushrooms. Additionally, they are meatier in texture.

Can I make Mushroom Noodles Gluten-Free and/or Vegan?

    Yes!

    for gluten-free: use gluten-free noodles.
    for vegan: use vegan butter.

How to make Mushroom Noodles recipe step by step?

    Prep

    1. Begin by boiling water. Once the water boils, add the ramen noodles. I love Ocean’s Halo which is a clean brand. Follow the instructions on the back of the packet, they shouldn’t boil more than 4 minutes.
    2. Once noodles boil, rinse with cold water.

    3. In the meantime, slice shiitake mushrooms, chop garlic, and green chilies.
    4. Chop scallions.

    Cook Noodles

    1. Heat a wok on medium heat, once hot add oil and 1 tablespoon of butter.
    2. Add the chopped garlic and green chilies. Sauté for 30 seconds.
    3. Add the mushrooms and saute for 5 minutes until the mushrooms release liquid.
    4. This is what you should have.
    5. Now add 1 tablespoon soy sauce. Stir.

    6. Add the rinsed noodles.
    7. Toss well until noodles are coated and warmed through - about 2-4 minutes. Add black pepper. Toss.
    8. Add a tablespoon of butter and toss for a minute.
    9. Add chopped scallions. Immediately turn off the stove.

    Enjoy Hot!
