Great post! I love making peanut butter banana smoothies… and for some reason drinking it out of a wine glass seems all the more fun, I'm going to try that next time! haha
Mmmm, that has to be completely delicious. What an interesting combination of flavors. Yum! Have a wonderful weekend. 🙂 Petra
just tried this and i love it! will make this again later!
Mmmmm… my dad made this. It was delicious.. the nutty peanut butter and banana combo was great. Thank you 🙂
Just made this. LOVE it! So does my toddler.
awesome!
Just a tip, if you like your smoothies thick like a milkshake, you should peel the banana, cut it up into pieces and freeze it. I actually buy 2 bundles of bananas at the store, one to keep in my fruit basket, and the other bundle i peel and slice them all and portion them into ziploc baggies and freeze em all. If you havent tried this already, i think you would love it 🙂
@Jen – Thanks! I've been meaning to, many people mentioned that to me. Well with spring and summer approaching, I'll certainly be making creamy, thick, milkshake type smoothies. 🙂 Thanks!
I tried this but I mixed it up a little. Instead of using sugar and ice cubes, I replaced it with protein powder and a couple scoops of vanilla ice cream.
It turned out thick and delicious!
Also, I love the pictures you posted! Well done! 🙂
Adding some banana or vanilla flowered pudding mix (just the powder) adds some extra flavor. Go for the sugar free pudding for a healthier choice!
amazing!! delicious and healthy.
I just made this and it was/is (cause I'm still drinking it) AWESOME. I used coconut milk because that's what I have in my house and I probably didn't even need the agave, its so sweet and yummy. Like a dessert!
@Anonymous – oh I bet coconut milk tasted uh-mazing! yeah, agave may be too sweet, especially if the banana is ripe. so happy you enjoyed this. next time consider freezing up the banana – just cup them into slices and in the freezer for about 2 hours or more. then make the smoothie.. heaven!
I always drink my smoothies from a wine glass!! I do think it's a must!
yuuuuum! just had this for breakfast, and i feel like i'm ready for the day! i like my smoothies really thick, so i add ground almonds to give it a nice texture and just that little bit more nuttiness. delicious!!!!
@Henni – what a great idea with the almonds, that's like double the nuts with the peanut butter, too. Awesome!
This has to be the best smoothie. EVER. Thanks so much, I am trying to be healthy and have some smoothies for breakfast, and this definitely will be my favorite!!!
@Hannah – you're so sweet. Thank you. I love the pb and banana combo as well.
This is such an amazing idea! I have been searching for weeks for good smoothies recipes and all I found where old boring ones. This will definitely keep me going it the morning! Thank you!!!!
@Alyssa – that's great to hear. This is a great breakfast that is filling too. Adding walnuts would really keep you full for a good 3 hours.
I made this without the Agave or Honey/Sugar and added 1T Flaxmeal….Yummy! Thank you for the recipe!
You're welcome. You really don't need the sugar given the banana sweetness.
