Fruit Chat is extremely popular all across India.  In general, Indians (like myself) love to add spices to anything they eat, including fruits.  Fruit Chat has a sweet and sour combination, it hits the spot.  In my opinion, apples, bananas, and pears taste the best, however feel free to experiment with other fruits.  I often make this as a dinner substitute when my husband and I are “trying” to be healthy after a weekend full of guilty food pleasures.  Try this, you will love it!
NUTRITION: Apples are a good source of fiber and vitamin C.
Bananas are a very good source of Vitamin B6.  They also contain fiber, vitamin C, and potassium.
Lastly, this dish is fat free.
INGREDIENTS (per serving):
  • Banana – 1 large (sliced)
  • Apple – 1 (cubed)
  • Lime – Juice of 1/2 a lime
  • Chat Masala – 1 tsp (more or less)
DIRECTIONS:
1. Here are the fruits you will need.
2. Slice the banana.
3. Cube the apples.
4. Combine the fruits in a bowl and juice 1/2 a lime.
5. Add Chat Masala and toss.  Delicious and fat free.  How long did that take?  🙂
