This post is dedicated to my bff who means the world to me, Jhiane.  So here is the story.  She has a date with a neurosurgeon (LUCKY GIRL) next Tuesday and she wants to lose weight last minute.  Hey, before you start judging a woman’s desire to look good for a man, she’s going out with a “neurosurgeon”, heck I would try and look hot too if I had the opportunity.  Hopefully he’s not boring and full of himself… some male doctors are!  Jhiane does these weird diets every now and then, but I keep encouraging her to stay on track and just eat healthy and in moderation.  She has been lucky enough to try one of my smoothies and by doing so she was inspired to purchase a Magic Bullet for herself.  Jhiane was blown away by how quickly I whipped up a smoothie, literally under 5 minutes.  My bff has now requested that I add more smoothie recipes on my blog to help her speed up her weight loss process.  I’ll do anything in the name of weight loss, dating, and love to see my girlfriend happy.

Jhiane, I know how you love strawberries, and I love bananas.  Together this is the perfect friendship combo… Strawberry Banana Smoothie!  How cheesy am I? This one’s for you Mama!

  1. I def owe buying the Magic Bullet all to you. I see you whip those quick smoothies that taste and look amazing and had to get one.

  2. Oh wow.. that is such a great idea. I will definitely try this with Oats. I'm allergic to Soy Milk.

    Thanks!!

  3. Great post!
I have a smoothie each morning to start the day.
Here are a few quick tips for slight variations.

    1. Add in oats before blending to give it a slightly thicker, creamier texture.

    2. Peel and freeze the banana the day before.

    3. Use Soy Milk if you are Vegan or want a slightly sweeter tasting smoothie.

  4. Great photos.

I made a Pineapple Smoothie…will be adding yours to my list.
