My Baby Registry

Starting a Baby Registry was perhaps one of the most overwhelming tasks for me. There are so many little things a baby needs from basics like diapers to things like swaddles that I had no clue about. There are so many different brands to choose from that the entire process was challenging and mindboggling.

As a new parent-to-be, I can assure you if I didn’t buy the “top-rated item”, I felt guilty for not giving my baby the very best. After speaking to numerous people, I was told babies grow super fast and I was reassured they don’t know any better from item a and item b. I decided to take a more practical approach and spend the money where I needed to and spend less on other items.

My siblings, friends, and Instagram followers gave me the best advice. I can’t thank you guys enough for answering my polls and sending me personal DMs on what I should and should not spend on. From the bottom of my heart, I thank each and every one of you!

There are quite a few places you can register at, but I decided on Amazon for their excellent service, reliability, easy return policy, great selection, and 15% off up to $2000 worth of baby items 60 days before your due date.

So here we go, here’s my Baby Registry!

Baby Registry

Strollers and Car Seats

Based on Instagram results the top 3 choices were UppaBaby (Cruz, Vista, Mesa), Nuna, and Chicco Keyfit 35 (stroller, car seat). Out of the 3, the Nuna is the most lightweight.

We decided on Chicco Keyfit 35 because of its safety feature (in reality – they’re all safe). With Covid-19 still being an issue, I don’t plan on taking the baby out too much with the rise in cases. If I do visit my family in NJ, the Caddy Frame Stroller is super lightweight and easy to travel with. It’s also perfect for neighborhood and beach strolls. Based on our lifestyle, we felt the Chicco KeyFit 35 Infant Car Seat and Caddy Frame Stroller fit our needs best for 2021.

Chicco Infant Car Seat: simple click-in attachment.

Chicco Car Seat Base: for the second car.

Chicco Stroller: lightweight, one hand fold, easy click-in attachment.

Baby Car Mirror

Nursery Furniture

Crib in White: 4-in-1 Convertible Crib, ASTM safety standards.

Dresser 6 Drawer in White: ASTM safety standards.

Rocking Chair / Swivel Glider in Grey: greenguard gold certified. I love this chair, provides so much comfort to the lower back – I’ve had issues with lower back pain postpartum.

Bassinet HALO Essentia Series: keeps newborn close, sturdy, good for up to 4 months.

Side Sleeper SwaddleMe: bed-sharing with baby, melodies, sounds, 2-speed vibration, good for travel.

Baby Monitor: works well, we use this often.

Nursery Bedding Essentials

Crib Foam Mattress Pad: greenguard gold certified.

MCrib Mattress Pad Cover: waterproof.

Crib Fitted Sheets for Standard Crib: 100% cotton, soft.

Bassinet Mattress Pad

Bassinet Sheets

Baby Pillow: 100% cotton, hypoallergenic. My baby loves this pillow. He uses this pillow during the day and evening when I’m awake. At night when I’m asleep, my baby doesn’t use this pillow. I’m paranoid about SIDS so I avoid it at night.

Flannel Blankets: #1 Bestseller.

Feeding & Nursing

Muslin Burp Cloths 10 Pack: 100% cotton, extra absorbent, soft.

Burt’s Bees Burp Cloths 5 Pack: 100% organic cotton, soft, thick, ordered 2 sets.

Dr. Brown’s Baby Bottle, 4 ounces: anti-colic vent system, works great. Avoid Comotomo bottles, they are the worst, super slow, and causes gas.

Babyganics Dish & Bottle Soap: fragrance-free, I use this instead of regular dish soap.

Avent Baby Bottle Warmer: so easy to use compared to other brands.

Similac Pro-Advance Instant Formula: baby is on instant formula and breastfeeding. Instant formula works way better than powder formula for my baby, it helps prevent gas issues. It’s definitely more pricey, but as long as the baby has no gas issues, it’s worth it.

Gripe Water: love this brand, really helps baby.

Nursing Pillow: #1 bestseller, wrap-around design, alleviate back pain, convenient storage.

Nipple Butter Breastfeeding Cream: organic, soothing, non-sticky, toxin-free.

Diapering

Diapers Size 1: #1 bestseller.

Baby Wipes: #1 bestseller, hypoallergenic.

Warm Wipe Warmer: keeps baby wipes warm, my baby loves this.

Diaper Rash Cream: #1 bestseller.

Diaper Genie: a must, I wouldn’t be able to do without this product.

Genie Refill Bags

Diaper Genie Carbon Filter: controls odor.

Contoured Changing Pad: a must for changing baby’s diapers.

Changing Pad Covers: 2 sets, you’ll go through these often.

Waterproof Changing Pad Liners: these are the best, so much better than the Munchkin brand which I tried.

Baby Diaper Caddy: #1 bestseller, storage basket for newborn products, I love this!!!

Diaper Bag with Changing Pad

Laundry

Baby Laundry Detergent: hypoallergenic.

Laundry Hamper: lightweight.

Bath Time

Baby Wash & Shampoo: love this one.

Baby Bath Tub

Brush & Comb

Eucerin Baby Eczema Relief: amazing stuff, provides instant relief to a baby with any type of rash.

Baby Clothing

Sleep & Play 2-Way Zipper: 100% cotton, 2-way zipper for easy access, ordered 3 sets in 0-3 months.

Sleep & Play Fleece 2-Way Zipper: 2-way zipper for easy access, ordered 2 sets in 0-3 months.

Baby Sleeper Gown: regret purchase – DO NOT BUY. My baby gets irritated if I put anything over his head.

Newborn SwaddleMe: ordered 1 set in 0-3 months.

Cotton Socks: organic.

Baby Mittens: works so well, prevents them from scratching themselves (and you).

Newborn Hats: hated these, DO NOT BUY.

Activity & Gear

Front & Back Carrier for Newborn: #1 bestseller.

Kick & Play Gym

Swing with Songs/Nature Sounds: baby loves this, it helps put him to sleep.

Baby Essentials

Nail Clipper: #1 Bestseller.

Nail File

Touchless Thermometer

Snotsucker by NoseFrida: highly recommend this, grabs all those little suckers. I love using this right after giving my baby a bath, you can grab more.

Saline Snot Spray by NoseFrida: this helps remove mucus from the baby’s nostrils. Use with the snotsucker by nosefrida.

And that’s it! I hope this list helps simplify what you need. I’m still learning so don’t be surprised if I missed a few things on this list. I’ll keep updating this as needed. In the coming months, I know I’ll be ordering a lot more from Amazon as my baby grows. Happy Shopping!

I was using aquaphor before I realized how awful petroleum and mineral oil is for us let alone baby. We switched to weleda and earth mama. Pricier but clean ingredients.

How to make the perfect panini without butter? Tha How to make the perfect panini without butter? That's right, you don't need butter to make crusty, cheesy, and delicious paninis. The key is using sourdough bread with a light brush of olive oil. Use a grill castiron to make these PESTO CAPRESE SPINACH PANINI with HOMEMADE PESTO + a drizzle of sweet balsamic. Check out my tips on the perfect panini on the blog. My Aunty (helper) left 😞! Due to certain circum My Aunty (helper) left 😞! Due to certain circumstances, the past 10 weeks we hired temporary help and it was the best investment for us. It was a blessing that someone was even willing to help us during Covid. During this time, I was able to fully heal from a C-section and learned so much from Aunty on how to properly care for a baby. I’m grateful for the home-cooked Indian food she made for us, but no more roti subzi dal 😂. Most of all, I’m grateful for the way she took care of my little kishmish ❤️. Today is the first day I’m on my own and woke up at 5 am. Let’s see if I get on stories later today 😂. Thankfully Krish has been sleeping through the night (most nights). I’m still trying to adjust his schedule slightly so it’s inline with mine. The biggest adjustment for me will be sleeping early because I’m such a night owl 🦉. I’m one of those people who needs 7-8 hours of sleep to function else it really affects my day. Now you know why I desperately wanted that @nespresso machine 😆. This is a new phase in my life and I wanna cherish every moment with Krish. I’m excited to get on a schedule with him and take on this new role. I’m forced to be a morning person which is okay. It’ll be nice to see how much I’m able to accomplish during the day between feedings, playtime, slobbery kisses 😘, cooking quick meals, blogging, and squeezing in time to workout and shower. I know some days will be harder than others and I’ve accepted that I may not accomplish anything some days. I have to learn Time Management from you moms so any tips on that would be really helpful. I got this, but still, wish me luck! ❤️ #krishandnish #newmom #motherhood #justthetwoofus #mybaby #momlife #babyhoneywhatscooking #10weeksold #timemanagement #loveofmylife #desiinfluencer #desigirl
