What You’ll Find Here
Honey, What’s Cooking is an Indian food blog featuring authentic Indian recipes alongside global fusion creations. You’ll find classic Indian recipes passed down from my mom, as well as Indian Fusion recipes that highlight my love for both Indian and Western flavors.
I use simple, real ingredients and love incorporating seasonal produce. I provide honest cooking times with detailed step-by-step photos, making the process easy to follow. I also regularly update older recipes to keep them relevant and accurate.
During the festive season, I love whipping up Indian Fusion Desserts incorporating cardamom, saffron, and rose flavors. Nothing makes me happier than bringing people together over food.
I hope to inspire you to cook more at home, explore new flavors, and enjoy the process along the way.
My Recipe Development Process
Every recipe on Honey, What’s Cooking is thoroughly tested in my home kitchen multiple times before being shared with you. I’ve published over 500 recipes. I take my own photos using my Canon 5D camera and record all my own videos, documenting each recipe with step-by-step photos and detailed instructions so you can recreate it successfully.
Here’s how I test every recipe:
- The first time I make a dish, I make it with love — no measurements.
- Next rounds involve testing with different ingredients and techniques.
- Once the recipe is perfected (I am my own biggest critic), I write down exact measurements.
- Before publishing, I get feedback from my husband, mother-in-law, and a few friends.
Reader Testimonials
“I’ve been a long-time fan of this blog and love trying new recipes. This Palak Paneer is absolutely a keeper, and I’m just upset I don’t have enough leftover for tomorrow’s lunch. I followed this recipe exactly, except I omitted the green chillies. From my picky kiddos to my even more picky Dad, this was a hit! Everyone had seconds and third,s and my amazing chef of a Dad called it “tasty!” I served this with basmati rice, Kawan paratha, and some dal. Thanks, Nisha…can’t wait to make this again and will double it next time.” – Monali P.
“I made this for the Super Bowl today, and it was amazing! I think the way in which Nisha writes her recipes and makes the steps so easy to follow is a true game-changer. The hack of draining your tomatoes is A++, and the veggie mixture in general takes this classic to the next level. I’ve made tons of her recipes and each and every one is spiced correctly (that’s NOT easily said for recipes found online) and flavor-packed!” – Natasha M.
“I have made this recipe three times in the last three months: for Thanksgiving, New Year’s Eve, and most recently, for the Super Bowl. All three times, it has been a great hit, and people have requested the recipe from me. The flavors are amazing and blend beautifully together. I will definitely be making it again, especially for parties and potlucks.” – Ritu S.
“This was absolutely phenomenal. There is a Thai curry place across the street from me that is very expensive, but I adore their tofu red curry and was never able to successfully make it at home. His recipe was so easy and exactly what I needed. Can’t wait to make it again! Thank you so much!” – Kristina
