Ingredients

  • 1 slice sourdough bread, toasted see Note 1
  • 1/2 cup of cottage cheese reduced-fat
  • 1/4 cup red onions chopped
  • 1/4 cup red bell pepper chopped
  • 2 tbsp cilantro chopped
  • 1 green chili chopped
  • 1/8 tsp chat masala
  • 1/16 tsp pink salt
  • black pepper to taste
  • squeeze of lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp bhel mix
  • 1 tsp pumpkin seeds
  • sprinkle of red pepper flakes

Instructions

  • Prepare Cottage Cheese Mixture. In a bowl, mix cottage cheese, bell pepper, onion, cilantro, and green chilies. Add chaat masala, kala namak, and black pepper. Mix well.
  • Toast Bread & Spread Mixture. Toast sourdough, then spread the cottage cheese mixture on top along with a squeeze of lemon juice. Garnish with bhel mix, pumpkin seeds, and crushed red pepper. Enjoy!

Notes

  1. Sourdough bread: Ensure the sourdough bread is well toasted and crispy so that the cottage cheese doesn't make the toast soggy.
  2. Gluten-free: Use gluten-free bread. This will alter the nutrition.
