Tropical Mango Banana-Berry Smoothie (Non-Dairy)

HAPPY BASTILLE DAY
to the French

Don’t you hate it when you are woken up by a phone call, not just any phone call, a phone call from work?  Uhhhh!  Yesterday morning I was sound asleep and was woken up by my business manager at 7 AM.  I checked my caller ID and was actually debating whether or not I should pick up… I do that when I’m half asleep, and on weekends I turn off all my sounds when I sleep – OH YEAH!  Anyway, my business manager told me there was a major production issue and that he needed me online ASAP.  I tried to sound professional and said, “Sure, I’ll be there in 10 minutes.”  I hung up the phone and saw my husband sound asleep, I was so jealous and grumpy!  For those of you who know me know how much I LOVE sleeping, there are no words to explain how much I love sleep.  I can sleep till 12 pm, 1 pm, 2 pm, you get the idea!  Today was not a good day.

I dragged myself out of bed and worked from 7:15 AM to 11:00 AM nonstop.  By this point I was starving.  I then took a break and decided to make myself a breakfast smoothie… quick and easy.  Recently I’ve disliked dairy smoothies, I don’t know why.  Actually I think it’s because after having a dairy smoothie I start feeling cramps in my stomach… yes, I bet I’m lactose intolerant.  I feel uneasy after drinking the dairy smoothies, so I am opting for non-dairy smoothies.  Last week I picked up Naked Juice (from Costco) which is all natural with no added sugar and no preservatives… I think we have a winner!  This juice claims that, “all sugars are found naturally in the fruit,” and this is pretty sweet.  I then added a ripe banana and some strawberries to my Mighty Mango Naked Juice and inhaled this delicious smoothie.  I was satisfied and ready for another 2 hours of nonstop work.  🙁  The demands of Corporate America never end!

NUTRITION: Mighty Mango Naked Juice contains Vitamins A & C, naturally.  Bananas are a very good source of Vitamin B6. They are also a good source of Vitamin C and Fiber.  Strawberries are an excellent source of Vitamin C. They are also a great source of Antioxidants and Fiber.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Ice Cubes – 2
  • Strawberries – 4
  • Banana – 1/2
  • Mighty Mango Naked Juice – 1/2 cup

DIRECTIONS:
1. Here is what you’ll need.

2. Add ice and strawberries to your Magic Bullet or Blender.

3. Add 1/2 a banana.

4. Add 1/2 cup of Mighty Mango Naked Juice.

5. Blend baby blend!

6. Pour and serve.

Nice looking smoothie. I can't have dairy of any kind, so this is very appealing. I really need to buy myself a bullet, keep saying I am going to. Thanks for the smoothie recipe.

Heaven in a bowl. I can’t tell you how easy it i Heaven in a bowl. I can’t tell you how easy it is to make TOFU THAI RED CURRY - even if you can’t find kaffir lime leaves. There is no ginger and garlic in this recipe, and there is no need to sauté the veggies. Simply add raw veggies to a simmering coconut gravy and cook the veggies for a few minutes. Flavor the sauce and garnish. Tofu Thai Red Curry is a classic and is the perfect combo of sweet, spicy, and salty flavors.
