Friday Favorites : Trader Joe’s

In the past couple months I’ve grown to love Trader Joe’s Chevre Fine Herbs Goat Cheese, and I’m sure you guys know if you follow me on social media. For the longest time goat cheese tasted like feet to me, but somehow the Trader Joe’s Chevre version doesn’t quite have that affect. My favorite way to eat this particular goat cheese is in the most traditional way possible, in a beet salad. Here are some of my latest Trader Joe’s finds.

1. Trader Joe’s Chevre Fine Herbs Goat Cheese
As I mentioned above, I am warming up towards Trader Joe’s Chevre Fine Herbs Goat Cheese. It’s not my favorite cheese in the world, but it is one that I have come to appreciate. This goat cheese from TJ’s tastes absolutely incredible in my Beets Strawberry & Goat Cheese Arugula Salad – this salad is seriously the best. I hope you guys try it if you haven’t already. Love it.Trader Joe’s Chevre Fine Herbs Goat Cheese

2. Trader Joe’s Island Salsa
This Mango Pineapple Jalapeno Salsa is sweet and has a slight kick. It’s chunky with bits of mango and pineapple along with a slight kick. The Island Salsa is the perfect complement to tacos, or any Mexican dish for that matter. Like it.

3. Trader Joe’s Organic Brown Sugar BBQ Sauce and Marinade
This may be one of the best barbecue sauces I have ever had. The list of ingredients is long, but keep in mind that barbecue sauce is typically made up of at least 21 ingredients. The good news is that most of the ingredients are pronounceable. This particular barbecue sauce at Trader Joe’s is sweet, a little spicy, and organic. Love it. Trader Joe’s Organic Brown Sugar BBQ Sauce and Marinade

4. Trader Joe’s Wine Country Chicken Salad
I was excited to try this chicken salad for a wine and cheese night, however I found this salad too creamy. I did like the addition of cranberries and pecans which added sweetness and crunch, but it wasn’t enough. The nutrition on this chicken salad is pretty bad though… 32 grams in 1/2 a cup, yikes. Overall, decent in flavor. Just OK.Trader Joe's Wine Country Chicken Salad

5. Trader Joe’s Southwestern Chopped Salad
I’m not sure if this particular salad kit I picked up was stale because it wasn’t good at all. The tortilla chips and nuts tasted stale to me, not to mention the salad looked old. This was surprising since the salad wasn’t even expired. Furthermore, the spicy southwest avocado dressing was a total disappointment since the cotija cheese dominated the flavor. Yeah, it’s not too often that I dislike items at Trader Joe’s. Dislike.Trader Joe’s Southwestern Chopped Salad

What are you loving at Trader Joe’s lately?

PANEER TIKKA QUESADILLAS are mouthwatering! Here's PANEER TIKKA QUESADILLAS are mouthwatering! Here's an Indo-Fusion dish you will love! I made a delicious marinade for the paneer and sauteed it along with the veggies. Assemble your whole wheat quesadillas and cook until the cheese has melted. The best part about this dish is my "special taco sauce" which complements these quesadillas perfectly.

Happy Mother’s Day to all you moms who show up s Happy Mother’s Day to all you moms who show up selflessly every single day. Also, a happy mothers day to all of you who want to be moms. ❤️ This is the most challenging role of my life, but the journey is totally worth it. Krish has made me a stronger and happier person. He gives new meaning to my life. And lastly, my kid couldn’t give me one nice picture of us in Hawaii… there’s either someone in the back or he’s making a face or he just wants to get away. He just can’t sit still for a minute… and with that a Happy Mother’s Day to me! 🥰

Vacationing with a kid has been a completely diffe Vacationing with a kid has been a completely different experience. While it’s nice to spend time as a family, dinners can get tough with a baby. Sanjiv and I enjoyed a romantic evening at House Without A Key in peace because Krish “thankfully” fell asleep (he was behind us I promise… swipe). It was so nice to converse with my better half over live music + cocktails, delicious food, and the BEST coconut cake (last pic). A memorable meal and evening! ❤️ #mylove

Aloha 🤙! Our first family trip! We made it to H Aloha 🤙! Our first family trip! We made it to Hawaii safe and sound, and Krish was pretty good on the plane. It’s my first time in Hawaii and I’m loving Waikiki… the beach, food, window shopping, and city life. I love being able to walk everywhere. It’s the perfect amount of action and relaxation for me. This is totally my kinda vacation 😎! Krish has been loving all the people-watching… something he doesn’t do much of back home. He’s been flexible and has pretty much adjusted to our schedule. Thank you 🙏🏼 guys for all the food recommendations (Duke’s Hula Pie) and tips on traveling with a toddler. I can’t thank you all enough. ❤️ #myworld
