First off, I wanna thank most of you for your support this past weekend. Your support and words of encouragement meant a lot to me. ❤️ 💫 Social Media 💫 Often we say things like, "I need a break from Instagram", but it’s not Instagram that’s the problem, it’s the people we follow on Instagram that's the problem. 💫 The Drama 💫 This past weekend I’m sure many of you tuned into the drama that occurred on Instastories. The accusation made against me by another food blogger was completely uncalled for, and for what, a freakin’ Taco Bell recipe that’s being discontinued?!? 💫 Women Support Women 💫 We always preach - Women Support Women and Empower Women, but when it comes to the Desi Community, there is so much cattiness, bullying, gossiping, and competition over who made what, who stole what, and when the recipe was posted. Just FYI: Taco Bell, masala chai, cilantro hacks are NOT stolen content. A recipe has to be “truly unique” for you to accuse someone of stealing your content, and I’m sorry, Taco Bell ain’t gonna cut it. Furthermore, if you do believe someone stole your content, simply confront them via DM like a mature adult, instead of calling them out publicly. Take the high road. How to support women on Instagram? Comment/like/engage/mention them. Interact with accounts you like on DM, build a connection. I know it’s hard to see every single person’s post on Insta with the ongoing algorithm changes, but at least engage with those who regularly engage with you. I wish more Desis would lift one another instead of tearing each other down. If you don’t support others, don’t expect others to support you. It works both ways! Word of Advice 1. Don’t get caught up in the cliquey Desi groups that gossip and go around calling people out publicly for content that isn’t original to begin with. Your recipe has to truly original for you to make such an accusation. 2. Unfollow/Block bullies who no longer serve you. The people you follow should inspire you, teach you, make you laugh, bring positivity and joy to your life.. if they’re not, unfollow. It’ll be the best thing you do for your mind! And that’s it. Grateful for all your support! 🙏🏼

💫 TACO BELL SPICY TOSTADA 💫 ⁠ As of August 13, Taco Bell's menu will no longer be the same. When I saw the list of discontinued items, I was so sad 😞 to see the 7 Layer Burrito and Spicy Tostada go - my 2 favorites!⁠ ⁠ Today I'm sharing a replicated version of the Spicy 🌶 Tostada. I baked the tortillas which resulted in crispy baked tostadas. The creamy Chipotle Sauce is what makes the Spicy Tostada sooooo good! Hope you guys try this out.⁠ ⁠ Recipe on the blog.
