Revel | Atlantic City, NJ

CLOSED!
A couple months my husband, friends, and I headed down to Atlantic City on a weekend getaway where we stayed at AC’s newest resort, Revel.  Located on the boardwalk, Revel has it all – beautiful rooms to excellent dining options to gambling to clubbing to spa services.  There is something for everyone.  So the next time you decide to skip Las Vegas (although I can’t possibly imagine why), consider Atlantic City’s Revel for a fun night out, especially you East Coasters looking for a weekend getaway.

RECOMMENDED STAY
1 night or more

VERDICT: 4 / 5
Good Stay.  Atlantic City’s latest Revel Resort is at par with the luxury hotels in Las Vegas, however Atlantic City hotels are more expensive than Vegas which I don’t get.  Although Revel is a 5 star hotel with all ocean view rooms that are modern and luxurious, the customer service at Revel lacks professionalism.  Additionally, the walls are pretty thin, however if you are β€œdrunk” enough, this most likely will not be an issue.  Aside from Borgata, no other resort compares to the luxury rooms of Revel in Atlantic City.  With that said, Revel has some pretty awesome restaurants to consider trying.  Would I stay here again?  Sure, until something better comes along, probably a toss up between Borgata and Revel.

Pros: Brand New Resort.  On the Boardwalk.  Lots of Restaurants to choose from.  Club & Casino in Hotel.  Attracts working Professionals and an Elderly Crowd.  Modern & Luxury Rooms/Bathrooms.  Awesome Shower.  Comfortable Beds.  Ocean view from every room.

Cons: Customer Service lacks Professionalism.  Walls to thin.

Future Stays in Atlantic City:
Borgata

TELL ME: Have you ever been to Atlantic City?  If so, where do you recommend staying?

Hahaha…if you're "drunk" enough it shouldn't be an issue. You crack me up! I haven't been to Atlantic City in years, but from what I remember, it seems like a fun place. Have a great Monday, Nisha!

I agree with Parita too πŸ˜› I went to Atlantic City when I could not even drink and it was a quick day trip. Would love to go there again though πŸ™‚ Happy Monday.

Hi nisha, been such a long time. Hope you are well. Atlantic city has been in our " to go" list for a while now. Some how has never worked out. Skip Vegas…hmmm u think so? how about visiting both:) lol. I have very fond memories of Vegas, the last time we went we stayed at Planet Hollywood. From our room we cud see the Bellagio's musical fountain, oh it was such a great sight. We were thinking of Atlantic city this summer, will keep Revel in mind:)

@Dixya – yeah.. as mentioned above, it's worth visiting if you are combining it with say, NYC, or a trip somewhere else in the vicinity. I wouldn't fly out to NJ just for AC though. πŸ™‚

@Nina – Yes, it's been a while. Nice to see you back. Regarding skipping Vegas, that's why I said I couldn't possibly imagine why. Given the choice, Vegas would always top my list. It's just glamour and glitz everywhere, AC is a very small section of LV. Revel and Borgata are good choices for AC. Let me know what you decide. πŸ™‚

I completely agree with you, the service at the front desk was horrible. They made some mistakes with my reservation JC

@JC – the service was pretty bad, it's okay to make mistakes provided you have a good attitude about rectifying the problem.

We've been to AC once and the luxury hotels are the best to stay for a fraction of priced you'd usually pay elsewhere. Great review πŸ™‚

@Kiran – I find the luxury hotels in Vegas to be more cheaper, AC is a bit more expensive and not sure why. Overall, this was a good hotel, consider it the next time you visit. Thank you. πŸ™‚
