    Pumpkin Chai Tea Latte

Lately I’ve been bugging my mom about getting Botox around her eyes… sort of for my own testing purposes.pumpkin chai tea latte 032

I mean, she’s 73 and looks amazing, but the results would be instantly apparent, and then I’d know for SURE if Botox really works, well, the way it should.pumpkin chai tea latte 026

The other day as my family and I were gathered around the table, I suggested to my mom…
Me: Mummy, let’s get you Botox.
Mummy: What is Botox?  (in her cute Indian accent)
Me: It’s when inject something in your face so you look YEARS younger.
Mummy: These are not good things.  You should not do.
Me: I’m not.  I want you to try it first and then I’ll get it done when I need it.
Mummy: I don’t want to do these things.

I know, I’m such a bad daughter, thinking of using my mom to witness the results of Botox.pumpkin chai tea latte 023

And I know half of you reading this are probably wondering why I am even thinking of Botox, but I can’t be the only one since it is so mainstream nowadays.pumpkin chai tea latte 039

Well, don't worry, I'm not getting Botox anytime soon, but I'm also not ruling out the possibility in another decade or so.pumpkin chai tea latte 042

And now I bring you Pumpkin Chai Tea Latte… made with tea leaves, fall spices, and milk.  Hopefully the antioxidants will help keep those fine lines away.  pumpkin chai tea latte 045

Thanks Amelia.. haha.. yeah, but I don't usually put the cloves in my chai. It's pretty much the same deal. 🙂

Hmmm I definitely would not do botox...I mean, you're basically injecting a toxin into your skin. Plus I've never seen it done where it looks really natural...you can always tell when someone's had it!. but maybe that's just me?

Coming from a doctor, I'll probably listen to you. I had no idea it was all toxins, I mean I knew it isn't good for you, but not so horirble.

I am not really into all the anti-aging stuff. I mean if it's an eye cream or something, I may try it but just thinking about being injected with Botox creeps me out! But like you said, to each his own. 🙂 I like to believe (maybe naively so) that if you stay young at heart, it will show up on your face!

I buy into the under eye creams and antioxidant moisturizers, but other than that, it really is all diet and exercise. Botox creeps me out, but I feel once women hit 45 or so... you start to wonder. I was against it, but now I understand why people go thru it, but it needs to be done in moderation. Definitely need to stay young at heart, and it will show on your face. Agreed.

im really really scared of injecting anything inside me, hopefully eating fruits, vegetables, and antioxidants from wine will take care of that 😛

Yeah... for now I am opting for the latter... fruits, veggies, and wine, hope it delays the aging process another 10-15 years. 🙂

I'd like to age gracefully but who knows what my opinion will be 15 years down the line ;)! Do you use undereye cream? It's meant to work wonders in terms of keeping away an aged, haggard look. In the meanwhile, I am going to continue basing my diet around whole, unprocessed foods....bring on the antixidants, baby!

Yeah I used to say that, now I sing a different song because I think once you get to a certain age, you start giving into medical science. I do use an under eye cream, and I will try and eat a lot of whole and unprocessed foods to keep my skin looking young and supple, hopefully it'll last another 10-15 years. 🙂

I am terrified of injecting my skin with a toxin. What if it goes wrong? what if my face sags? A wrinkly face is better than a deformed face. But really who knows what I will feel like down the line. I don't drink caffeine, but the tea looks yum.

Yeah, I hear ya... a lot could go wrong, but we just hear how it works most of the time provided you get just a little bit.

Hysterical that you want to test it out on your mom first!

I am also terrified of injecting myself with a toxin. (Shefali said it perfectly). I don't even take Tylenol or Advil! I'll be all wrinkled at 50 (getting there already), I know it.

Ameena.. I would hope you know I was joking with my mom. Yeah, I can see how people would be afraid of it. Yeah I take Advil as needed, it's hard not to when I have pain. 🙂

Oooh, I love fancy warm drinks made at home, particularly as my Starbucks habit is getting out of hand (and severely impacting my new shoes and bags fund) 🙂

Yeah, I drink SB like once in 2 weeks... I get sick of the crazy amounts of sugar in their drinks, plus $5 a drink. Crazy right? I'd much rather save my money for bags and shoes. 🙂

hahahahah, I love that you're tried to convince your mom to get botox!...your mommy sounds so cute. Personally though, I think that it's beautiful to age naturally 🙂 And you're so beautiful I dont' think you would need it! Mmmm, this chai tea looks so good! I really need to try making my own like this, as the powdered mixes already contain sugar and are always too sweet for me...

Lol.. glad you got the joke Amy, I was totally kidding though. She is cute. It's definitely better to age naturally, but I guess as I'm getting older, my views are changing.. I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get there. Thanks for the compliment... appreciate it, not doing anything drastic anytime soon. I hate the powdered mixes.

Divine. I'm sure with such flavors in this latte, the fine lines would creep in much slower 🙂
