I hope you have an amazing day. Love, me!
1. Salted Caramel Cupcake @ Georgetown Cupcake
Who says NYC has the best cupcakes? Move over Manhattan, make room for DC! When I visited DC back in 2010, I didn’t have a chance to visit Georgetown Cupcake (GC) which had received rave reviews. A few weeks ago my friend enlightened me that GC had opened up in Manhattan, and this past week I headed to Soho to visit the gorgeous brightly lit bakery. I tried their bestseller, the Salted Caramel Cupcake, and it was like nothing I ever had. I know I say that often, but seriously guys, this time it was different, my husband thought so too. The cupcake itself was perfectly moist, and the creamy frosting on top was piled on high. It was scrumptious, heavenly, like CRAZY GOOD! In addition, I also tried their Coconut Cupcake with Cream Cheese Frosting and that was delicious too, not to mention they were generous enough to give me a free Coconut Cupcake, just for the heck of it. I can’t wait to go shopping and cupcake hopping next week, every week! GC is a little cheaper and BETTER than its NYC rivals! ~ $2.75 @ Georgetown Cupcake, Soho – New York City (coming soon to LA)
2. Tory Burch Quilted Leather Kaitlin Ballet Flat (purchased in sand)
Every June when my birthday rolls around, I make sure I buy myself something nice. This year, once again, I purchased Tory Burch flats, only this time I opted for the Quilted Leather Ballet Flats. These timeless beauties come in 2 colors – sand and black, and they sort of remind me of the Chanel Quilted Bag, don’t they? I figure since I don’t own Chanel, I might as well own something that resembles it. When I tried these shoes on in my “true size”, they felt slightly larger, and thus I went down 1/2 a size. I sort of regret that decision now since these quilted flats are a bit snug on my feet while walking around town, but I am hoping with due time I will stretch them out. gift to myself ~ $265 @ Tory Burch or Bergdorf Goodman
3. Korres’ Cherry Full Color Gloss (Pink 16 & Rose Mauve 21)
Last weekend was my friend, KP’s, bridal shower, and the maid of honor was so generous in handing out Korres’ products as bridal favors. Korres is a Greek product, and I instantly took that as a “SIGN” for myself to visit the beautiful Greek Islands of Mykonos and Santorini this fall (keeping my fingers crossed that Greece stays calm). In any case, I loved the Cherry Oil Lip Gloss which is formulated with hydrating cherry oil, Vitamins C & E, and is all natural. I received 2 lip glosses – pink and rose mauve – both colors went nicely with my complexion and weren’t overwhelmingly dark, which I prefer anyway. Like most lipglosses, the Korres lipgloss has a sticky affect so I wear it over Chapstick. One of the best bridal favors I’ve received. ~ $17 each @ Sephora
