1. Cappuccino & Croissant @ Fika
Fika is a Swedish coffee hangout in Manhattan. In my humble opinion, they serve some of the best cappuccino in New York City. I love how coffee here is served in a mug, rather than in a to-go cup, it’s a European thing. The cappuccino is mildly flavorful, not overly bitter and strong. It seriously tastes like a cup of cappuccino one would sip in Europe. Additionally, the croissant is flaky and delicious. Now although I believe Fika is slightly overpriced, $4 for a small cup of cappuccino, it is totally worth it, not to mention, near Central Park. ~ $7 (cappuccino + croissant) @ Fika, Midtown West, New York City (other locations available)
2. Talenti Gelato’s Tahitian Vanilla Bean
My cousins, Ajay & Nan, hosted our entire family while most of us were out of power during Hurricane Sandy. For dessert, they served us Talenti’s Gelato which they were surprised I had never heard of it being a food blogger and all – whateva! Now here is what’s so great about this product, it is made with hormone-free milk and pure cane sugar, in addition, it has 30% less fat than regular ice-cream. And the best part, the gelato is so soft and smooth straight out of the freezer. Although I am so NOT vanilla, the Tahitian Vanilla Bean was undoubtedly my favorite amongst the 3 I tried. All I can say is WOW! Seriously can’t wait to try out all their other flavors… Sea Salt Caramel please. Thanks A & N! Talenti Gelato ~ $5 (1 pint) @ most grocery stores
3. Moroccan Oil Professional Series Hair Dryer @ Amazon
You all know how I have dry, unmanageable, frizzy curly hair, and sometimes a girl wants to go straight. On a recent visit to my hairstylist, I asked him if investing in a good hair dryer would make a difference in how my blowouts turn out at home, and he responded, “YES.” He used the Moroccan Oil brand, and I ended up purchasing the same brand online. I found various price ranges for this particular hair dryer, anywhere from $130s to $250s, but the cheapest was on Amazon. The results? Awesome! I certainly can’t match the magic my stylist performs on my hair at the salon, but I can honestly say the results are amazing… I’m left with smooth, silky, shiny, voluminous straight hair after a blow-dry. I LOVE this product and I should have invested in this YEARS ago!!! ~ $138 @ Amazon
TELL ME: Share some of your favorites from this past week!
I want everything on your list! And I never knew the type of hairdryer used made such a huge difference. Interesting! I thought it was more technique than anything else. And did your cousins buy that gelato at a regular grocery store? I'm definitely going to be on the lookout for it now. 🙂 Have a good weekend, Nisha!
Love your blog! Maybe we can follow each other on bloglovin or GFC? Please leave me a comment or follow me and I will follow you =)

OMG that gelato looks divine! Vanilla ice cream is my all time favorite, even better if it's with real vanilla bean! Funny you mentioned about coffee out of a mug as opposed to a paper cup! I don't mind it so much with coffee but tea (especially English breakfast) tastes so much better from a mug! A favorite of mine from this past week is jam on toast- so simple yet I can't get enough of it lately!
@Parita – yes, a hair dryer makes a huge difference. Definitely it is technique as well, a combination of both. You can find the gelato at most grocery stores, check out their website, whole foods carries it.
You too! 🙂
@Eva Marie – thanks… will check yours out.
@Khushboo – if vanilla is your favorite, you will love the tahitian vanilla bean. OMG, i don't mind coffee in a to-go mug, but i can't stand tea in a to-go mug. jam on toast sounds nice K. 🙂
That first photo had me in tears since I had already had my brekkie 😉
Cheers

That croissant looks incredibly flaky and delicious—I think I know what I'm having for breakfast =)
@Guru – no tears my friend. What's brekkie?
@Squishy – I wish I could have croissant for breakfast every single day. Love it!
