Friday Favorites : Grocery & Gourmet

1. 18 Rabbits Cashew, Ancient Grains & Cacao Nib
Here’s a granola that’s organic, non-gmo, vegan, gluten-free and low in sugar… totally up my alley. I was highly impressed when I first tasted 18 Rabbits granola, SO GOOD, not too sweet, but just sweet enough. It’s perfect. I’ve enjoyed the 18 Rabbits granola with almond milk, over oatmeal, straight out of the bag, and over an acai bowl. It’s absolutely delicious, and I can’t wait to try out other flavors! Absolutely love!18 Rabbits Cashew, Ancient Grains & Cacao Nib

2. Mary’s Gone Crackers Basil & Garlic
Another product that is organic, non-gmo, vegan, gluten-free, but also whole grain. I picked up these crackers from my local health food grocery store and I loved the flavor. The basil flavor is quite prominent and you can taste nutrition in every bite. For now, I’m loving them with hommus, but you can get really creative with these crackers.Mary’s Gone Crackers Basil & Garlic

3. Cedar’s Organic Original Hommus
When I spotted Cedar’s Organic Hommus on sale at Whole Foods – 2 for $5, hello, I didn’t overthink it. In addition to this hommus being creamy and light, it tasted fresh which is rare to find in packaged foods. So far I love the original and the roasted garlic flavors. Make sure you get the organic hommus version of Cedar’s which is also non-gmo.Cedar’s Organic Original Hommus

4. 365 Everyday Value Roasted Chipotle Salsa
A delicious salsa with a bold chipotle flavor and a slight kick. I particularly like this salsa because it isn’t terribly high in sodium like most other salsas. I love topping my eggs with salsa and of course, eating it with some tortilla chips. Get it at Whole Foods.Whole Foods 365 Everyday Value Roasted Chipotle Salsa

5. Fairlife Chocolate 2% Reduced-Fat Milk
I’m one of those people who doesn’t like milk, I just can’t drink it straight up, I think it’s so gross. Enter Chocolate Milk! If I do have a craving for real chocolate milk, I’ll get Fairlife and here’s why – it tastes amazing, has 50% less sugar, 13g of protein per serving, more calcium, and contains no lactose. I’ll sometimes add it to a protein shake instead of using almond milk, other times I’ll combine chocolate milk and almond milk so that I’m drinking a healthier version of chocolate milk. If you haven’t tried Fairlife, you should, even their non-chocolate milk is really good, this is coming from someone who doesn’t like plain ol’ milk. I get mine at Target. IMG_6266

I’m not consuming too much dairy lately but that milk sounds awesome, even more so that it’s lactose-free! Lately I’ve been hooked on David’s Roasted Almond Tea- tastes so dessert-y!

Fairlife milk is pretty good, surprisingly is lactose-free but doesn’t taste like it. I love almond flavored teas, love the nutty flavor. I’ll check it out. Thanks!

Loved milk when I was a kid, but never drink it these days. Although who can resist chocolate milk? 🙂

I hated milk as a kid, I just can’t drink it plain.. I usually need it with oatmeal or cereal. Their chocolate milk is pretty amazing.. you must try it. Would be great in one of your cocktails I bet. 🙂

My Aunty (helper) left 😞! Due to certain circum My Aunty (helper) left 😞! Due to certain circumstances, the past 10 weeks we hired temporary help and it was the best investment for us. It was a blessing that someone was even willing to help us during Covid. During this time, I was able to fully heal from a C-section and learned so much from Aunty on how to properly care for a baby. I’m grateful for the home-cooked Indian food she made for us, but no more roti subzi dal 😂. Most of all, I’m grateful for the way she took care of my little kishmish ❤️. Today is the first day I’m on my own and woke up at 5 am. Let’s see if I get on stories later today 😂. Thankfully Krish has been sleeping through the night (most nights). I’m still trying to adjust his schedule slightly so it’s inline with mine. The biggest adjustment for me will be sleeping early because I’m such a night owl 🦉. I’m one of those people who needs 7-8 hours of sleep to function else it really affects my day. Now you know why I desperately wanted that @nespresso machine 😆. This is a new phase in my life and I wanna cherish every moment with Krish. I’m excited to get on a schedule with him and take on this new role. I’m forced to be a morning person which is okay. It’ll be nice to see how much I’m able to accomplish during the day between feedings, playtime, slobbery kisses 😘, cooking quick meals, blogging, and squeezing in time to workout and shower. I know some days will be harder than others and I’ve accepted that I may not accomplish anything some days. I have to learn Time Management from you moms so any tips on that would be really helpful. I got this, but still, wish me luck! ❤️ #krishandnish #newmom #motherhood #justthetwoofus #mybaby #momlife #babyhoneywhatscooking #10weeksold #timemanagement #loveofmylife #desiinfluencer #desigirl

Most of them are healthy, dairy-free, and nutritious... pretty much sums up how people in SoCal eat 😊. Sharing my take on a deconstructed sushi bowl made with tofu, jasmine brown rice, my favorite veggies, sushi ginger, and of course, spicy mayo.
