If you missed it, here are Day 1 and Day 2 of my Las Vegas trip!
We slept in late this morning. Once we woke up, we got ready, and immediately headed to Paris for lunch at Mon Ami Gabi.

MENU: Mon Ami Gabi Menu.

This French restaurant was recommended by my friend, MM, who dined here the last time she was in Vegas.
This restaurant was a little dark and definitely had that French appeal to it.
The waiters were dressed in typical French outfits.
Since this was our first meal, we skipped the alcohol. We were served French Bread and Whipped Butter as complimentary starters. The bread was hard, obviously, but the butter was so good, anything becomes edible with whipped butter.
My friend, MM, and I both got the Grilled Salmon cooked with sweet peas, pearl onions, and crème fraiche. The salmon was very good and fresh, however I didn’t particularly love the salmon-pea combo.
Jhiane went for the Steak Frites cooked in a red wine sauce topped off with caramelized onions. She said the steak was excellent, very moist, tender, and juicy.
The 3 of us decided to split dessert and opted for the Crème Brule, I mean, we had to order something French in a French restaurant. It was delicious with creamy custard at the bottom and a caramelized glaze on top. Loved it.
And of course, I had a cuppa – English Breakfast – alongside my dessert. Look how cute the cup and teapot is. 🙂
VERDICT for MON AMI GABI: 4 / 5
Although I enjoyed my salmon, I didn’t think it was oustanding. In addition, I am pretty limited in terms of what I can eat when dining at a French restaurant. I only eat chicken, salmon, and shrimp, so there aren’t too many non-redmeat options here, understandably so. I should have suggested splitting the Macaroni Gratin with my girlfriends. The dessert was delicious and what I would expect from any good French restaurant.
The service here is excellent and the decor is nice. Mon Ami Gabi is definitely worth checking out if you are into French food and love red meat, I’m sure you’ll love it.
After walking around for a bit, we hurried back to our hotel to get ready for the Britney Spears show. YEAH!
We were all super excited and headed to the MGM Grand. Thankfully we showed up early and we had time to take a few pictures.
The show kicked off with Nikki Minaj…
and of course she sang… “wish that I could have this moment for life.” I absolutely love that song with its profound lyrics. Coming soon… upload is slow.
And then…
Ms. Britney Spears arrived.
She kicked some serious butt, this woman can really dance. I loved all her outfits, Britney is such a great performer!
Here you can listen to, “If You Seek Amy.”
After the show was over, we headed to Surrender Nightclub at Encore. This club isn’t indoor, but rather an outdoor party by the pool with cabanas setup all over. We were lucky the temperature dropped to about 80 degrees at night, so it was perfect weather with 0% humidity.
Just like XS, Surrender is another nightclub in Vegas that is very trendy. If you are trying to get in, you do need to conform to some of the Vegas standards of dressing.
In addition, the music here was pretty much all electronica which kinda sucked for me since I love various types of music and I really missed not having Hip-Hop, Reggaeton, Dance. This was a let down for me.
Also, there is a cover charge of $30 for ladies, $100 for men (very steep, but not sure why), if you aren’t on the guest list. Do some research before paying up to see if this is your cup of tea. Personally speaking, I won’t be returning to Surrender unless I know for sure they are playing a wide variety of music.
TELL ME: Have you been to Surrender? If so, what did you think? How was the music?
