1. Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Vinaigrette
I was introduced to this dressing after I tried the Harvest Blend Salad at Trader Joe’s (here). The Pumpkin Vinaigrette dressing is delicious, slightly sweet, a little tangy with hints of pumpkin spice. The actual pumpkin flavor isn’t too strong. This dressing tastes incredible over my Arugula Sweet Potato Pecan Salad… I only use 1 tbsp to dress up the greens in the salad. Hopefully you can still find this dressing at TJs since it is a seasonal item. Love.
2. Trader Joe’s Harvest Blend Salad
I know Candied Walnuts are like the easiest thing to make, but when I saw this pack at Trader Joe’s, I had to get ’em. They taste amazing, crunchy, lightly sweet, just like candy, but healthier. These walnuts consist of only four ingredients, however they are high in sugar. I would definitely buy them again, but I would prefer to make my own Candied Walnuts at home and control the sugar. Love.
3. Trader Giotto’s Tomato Basil Marinara Sauce
For $1.79, you’re definitely getting value for your money in this jar of marinara sauce. The sauce isn’t too chunky, but it also isn’t watered down, it’s just right. The flavor is good, but given the price obviously it doesn’t taste fresh and homemade. The other issue is the high sodium and sugar content in just 1/2 a cup. Although I do like the flavor of this sauce, I’ll keep trying other sauces at Trader Joe’s, perhaps something organic. Like.
4. Trader Joe’s Muhammara
This dip is similar to the texture of hummus, only that it is made with roasted red peppers, it’s slightly sweet and very slightly hot. Overall, the Trader Joe’s Muhammara is pretty good, but I wasn’t wowed by it by any means. The fat content is a little high, but it’s all good fat. If I had the choice between hummus, babaghanoush and muhammara, I’d much rather go for the former two. Should you try it? Absolutely! Would I buy it again? Probably not! It’s just $3 though, so give it a shot. Like-Okay.
5. Trader Joe’s Tartar Sauce
When I think of Tartar Sauce, I think of Fish & Chips. Trader Joe’s Tartar Sauce tastes nothing like the real tartar sauce served with fish & chips. The mayo flavor in this sauce is quite dominant, and it’s sour, I didn’t even bother with it. Dislike.
What have you been liking/disliking lately at Trader Joe’s?
