1. Truffle Oils and Nut Oils by Saveurs de la Terre
The sales and marketing team of Encore Specialty Food Importers contacted me since I loved their Herbal Dijon Mustard with Herbs de Provence that I used in my Avocado Egg Salad Sandwich recipe. The brand carries many lines of gourmet and specialty products from all over Europe and they asked if I was willing to try some of their items to use around the kitchen. I willingly complied. This past week I received a bunch of oils, mainly truffle oils, all of which are a product of France, and you know how pricey those are. Very generous gift from Encore Specialty Food Importers – thank you! I am beyond excited to create some wonderful pasta dishes using truffle oil, especially re-creating the one Truffle Mushroom Dish from Fig & Olive. ~ buy @ Amazon White Truffle Oil Sunflower Oil | Almond Oil | Pistachio Oil
2. Trader Joe’s White Bean & Basil Hummus
I’ve raved about the Tuscan White Bean Hummus at TJ’s, but now you have got to try their White Bean & Basil Hummus. It’s creamy, garlicky, and refreshing with lots of basil and a few pine nuts. So far I’ve enjoyed a little hummus on my toast, I’ve eaten them with Rosemary Chips, and I’ve also eaten them with homemade kale chips. Outrageously delicious, but I’m not too thrilled with the ingredient list! ~ $3.50 @ Trader Joe’s
3. Cover Your Gray Lipstick For Hair
While I didn’t quite inherit much of my mom’s beautiful features, I certainly inherited her premature grays. Once I hit the 5th to 6th week mark, my grays start to show. I really hate the idea of having to dye my hair and/or getting highlights so frequently. I recently discovered this Cover Your Gray Lipstick which comes in a bunch of shades, but I like Dark Brown for my hair. All you have to do is go back and forth with the lipstick over your grays and they eventually cover up, and no it is NOT sticky. Furthermore, this stuff washes off after your next wash. Perfect for a quick touch-up while you push off your salon visit another couple weeks. I absolutely LOVE this product, it saves me time and MONEY! Cover Your Gray sells at most drugstores, I got mine at Duane Reade. ~ $6 @ Amazon
