1. The Original Long Sleeve Shirt @ Express
I’ve been shopping at Express since my college days, and I’m still going strong. I recently picked up this fitted shirt in my favorite shade of green – hunter green. Additionally, I love the cheetah print around the collar and cuff. It’s like this shirt was made for me, love the fit of Express shirts. Perfect for work. ~ $50 + (a coupon) @ Express
2. Nikki’s Coconut Butter Midnight Mocha
Okay, so not a favorite, but I still wanted to share! Just a couple weeks ago I finally had the chance to give my cousin, Ajay, the Midnight Mocha Coconut Butter that I bought for him, but just before I handed it to him, I opened it and tried it… hehe. Hey, we’re family! In terms of taste, the coconut butter tasted like coconut and chocolate, sorta like Almond Joy, but I wasn’t too impressed with the texture, seems dry to me, don’t you think? I won’t be purchasing the Midnight Mocha again, but so far I really like the Vanilla Cake Batter flavor. I gotta say though, $13 is a bit steep for a jar of coconut butter + shipping. I’ll still go ahead and buy a few more to taste, but if it’s not 100% good then I won’t be shelling out that kind of money for something I can replicate at home. ~ $13 a jar @ Nikki’s Coconut Butter
3. Chennai Express (Shak Rukh Khan, Deepika Pandukone)
Last weekend I had a chance to see the latest Bollywood release, Chennai Express, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. The film starts off in Mumbai and then continues on the Chennai Express train with stops along the way. The director did a great job capturing the beauty of the Dudhsagar Falls amongst other scenic locations in the southern region of India. Someday I would love to take a train journey originating from Delhi to South India and trying various regional cuisines along the way.
In terms of the movie, I have to say Deepika not only looked incredibly gorgeous, but she also acted brilliantly. She nailed the Tamil accent and spoke Hindi in a South Indian accent where there was no differentiating between masculine and feminine words – this added so much humor to the movie. I loved the movie and the message it conveyed, that regardless of our differences, love is the only language that’s common to each of us. Hilarious movie with a beautiful message. In Theaters Now ~ Very Highly Recommended!
Lungi Dance (click to view) – my favorite song in the movie… Deepika’s moves are so effortless and sexy! She’s just stunning.
TELL ME: Have you seen Chennai Express? Thoughts? If you’ve tried Nikki’s Coconut Butter, what’s your favorite flavor?
