Well, since you’re reading this, at least we know the world didn’t come to an end, you know, 12.21.12? 🙂
Just a few days till Christmas. Now there are some of us who are completely opposed to receiving kitchen items as gifts, I’m probably NOT one of those people. I mean, I certainly don’t want crystal or a toaster oven per se, but anything from fancy cutlery to baking gadgets to Le Creuset works for me. So to share with you are some of my kitchen favorites.

Cuisinart Hand Mixer with Storage Case – I bake a LOT!!! So trust me when I say this, a storage case to go along with this hand mixer is simply brilliant… this way you aren’t wasting a couple minutes locating the attachments. ~ $90 @ Williams Sonoma
Magic Bullet Blender – One of my favorite kitchen gadgets. It’s handy without taking up a bunch of space in my relatively small apartment. I use the Magic Bullet to grind up ginger, garlic, smoothies, chutneys, and more. My cousin uses it to puree baby food. Seriously, awesome gadget. ~ $50 (sale) @ Macys
Lodge Cast Iron 12” Skillet – My brother first introduced me to the Lodge Cast Iron skillet since he (and now I) has been resisting the use of nonstick pans for quite some time now. The cast iron skillet works beautifully when I sauté some onions and mushrooms in some butter, you can really taste the flavor of the caramelized onions. Additionally, I’ve used the skillet for stir fry veggies and even baked in it. Good stuff! Excellent quality at an affordable price. ~ $30 @ Crate and Barrel
Le Creuset Signature Round Dutch Oven 7 1/4 Quart – Recently, I’ve started my own little collection of Le Creuset items in red, but I also love the Caribbean blue collection. The one item I am hungry for is this 7 1/4 quart Dutch oven, you can seriously work magic in the kitchen. I’m already dreaming of making Chicken Biryani in it. ~ $305 (sale) @ Williams Sonoma
Olivewood Cheese Board – Nothing gets me more excited than wine and cheese and bread and kalamata olives and some girl talk. Loads of antioxidants and healthy… perfect for a girls night in. ~ $17 @ Crate and Barrel
Le Creuset Stoneware Butter Dish – I’m serioulsy going Le Creuset crazzzzzzzzy… I know this is purely based on my superficial-ness, but this butter dish is just too darn cute to pass up, and on sale! ~$28 (sale) @ Williams Sonoma
Oxo Box Grater – This is genius! Not sure why it took me so long to pick up a box grater… all this time I’ve been grating away with half my cheese spilling on the floor. Sigh! ~ $18 @ Crate and Barrel
Cuisinart 9-Cup Food Processor – Another one of my favorite kitchen gadgets I simply cannot live without. I use it for making nut butters, pesto, breadcrumbs, and the list goes on and on. Pricy, but worth it! ~ $160 @ Crate and Barrel
Le Creuset Cherry Signature Rectangular Bakers Set of Two – Love this affordable set from Le Creuset… it’s ideal for casseroles. ~ $40 (special) @ Sur la Table
Aspen Cup and Saucer – Just a simple white cup and saucer that I use for my daily cuppa. So far I have 2 sets of these, but I want to buy a couple more. They are perfect for an afternoon tea party. ~ $5 @ Crate and Barrel
Click Clack Pantry Canisters – These are my favorite canisters that I use for storing all my baking stuff… white flour, whole wheat pastry flour, white sugar, confectioners sugar. Additionally, I also the canisters to store white rice and lentils. The best part is you can stack them one on top of the other which is perfect when you’re living in a small space. And btw… just have to say, I LOVE The Container Store! ~ $8 to $13 @ The Container Store
Dizzy Cocktail Glass – I own 4 of these martini glasses and I love them. They are just so pretty, even if you aren’t in the mood for a cocktail, looking at one of these glasses gets me in the mood for one. Maybe that’s not a good thing! ~ $2.50 @ Crate and Barrel
