1. Manhattan Skyline
This past weekend my friend, MM, visited me from DC. On a beautiful fall afternoon the 2 of us grabbed breakfast from Dunkin Donuts and headed to Exchange Place in Jersey City where we enjoyed our breakfast. It didn’t hurt the views were absolutely breathtaking. In my opinion, nothing tops the Manhattan skyline which to me speaks success, achievement, beauty, and freedom! Notice the new “Freedom Tower” building coming up? ~ priceless!
2. Mango Mojito @ Mole (New York City)
Think I’m turning into a lush, oh well! One of the best cocktails I recently had was the Mango Mojito at Mole in New York City. This drink was huge, so smooth, minty, and delicious, I felt as though I was drinking juice, but it was most definitely spiked. Aren’t the best drinks the ones that effortlessly get you tipsy? Cheers to that! ~ $15 @ Mole, West Village – New York City
3. Homemade Milk Cake Burfi
When it comes to making Indian desserts, I tend to shy away due to the unforeseen amounts of fat and calories in just a little piece of mithai/burfi/sweet. However, this Diwali I made Paal Kova (a South Indian dessert similar to Milk Cake Burfi) in under 15 minutes, and it was mouthwateringly delicious. Doesn’t it look so indulgent? It sure was! ~ homemade perfection
